Pastor Brian Conover, Lead Pastor

Brian moved to upstate NY from New Jersey with his family early on in his childhood. The youngest of three, he grew up in a rural community and enjoyed the outdoors - motorcycles, horses, dogs, snowmobiles, baseball, fishing and hunting. Now, with his wife, Lisa, and their 5 girls, he still enjoys the same things (except motorcycles), and has an entire household to share them with.
Pastor Brian attended Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, PA. Brian served on staff at Southgate Baptist Church in Springfield, OH for three years. He is truly passionate about communicating God's Word and leading people in dynamic corporate worship.

Pastor Jim Darling, Assimilation

Jim grew up in a rural town in central NY. He is the only boy, growing up with three sisters. He enjoyed basketball, camping, BMX and various other adventure sports. Today, he is privileged to spend his days with His beautiful wife, Tiffany, and their two amazing kids. As of late, Jim has become a hobby farmer of sorts, with one stunning Jersey calf, Spectacle.

Pastor Jim attended Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, PA. Jim spent five years as Program Director at Camp BaYouCa in Smithville Flats, NY. Nothing excites him more than seeing families function the way  God intended.

Casey Golden, Youth

Casey was born and raised in upstate NY. He is the youngest of three, the only boy. Casey loved spending his days playing soccer, hunting, and pursuing armature photography. Today Casey still enjoys hunting and photography and coaches VHCA soccer. Along with His wife, Candi, he enjoys watching his two boys grow.

Casey attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. Casey completed an 18 month internship at Camp BaYouCa before coming on staff at Calvary. Casey has a real desire to see youth embrace Christ and develop their own relationship with God.

Jennifer Hodge, Office Manager

Jen is from right here in Norwich, she grew up in Calvary and graduated from Valley Heights Christian Academy. She was hired as the Office Coordinator in July 2006 and has enjoyed being a part of the ministry. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking, reading and scrapbooking . Her husband, Lee and three children also own Jersey cows that they enjoy exhibiting at the fairs.

Jen attended Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, PA. It is very important to Jen that all members of Calvary are treated well and enjoy their experience at Calvary Baptist Church!

Eric Schimke, VHCA Administrator

Eric and his wife Susan reside in the Norwich area and have three grown children, all married and who live as far away as Ohio and Michigan. All three attended Christian schools throughout their formal education, as well as attending and graduating from Christian colleges. With 4 grandchildren, and two more on the way, Eric and his wife enjoy visiting family when it’s time for vacation and on occasion the coast of Maine or upstate Michigan.

When free time does come along, Eric enjoys watching professional sports, working in the yard and listening to good Christian music.

Christian education is not an option when it comes to the children of a Christian home because an education in which Jesus Christ is central is the best preparation for the real world."

Cynthia Wier, VHCA Secretary

Cynthia and her family reside in Norwich. Allison and Owen are VHCA students. Parker will enter K4 next year.

Cynthia was saved at the age of 7 and baptized at age 10. They are active members of the Holmesville Baptist Church since the early 1980’s. Cynthia graduated from Holmesville Christian Academy in 1988. Cynthia currently teaches the 1st grade Sunday School class and coordinates a monthly "Night of Fun" program at her church. She is also the Communications Coordinator for the CBC Mom-to-Mom group.

Cynthia has a diverse background in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Customer Service, and Office Management from previous positions at MeadWestvaco in Sidney and the Chenango County Chamber of Commerce in Norwich . She is also a registered Notary Public.

When asked about her new position, Cynthia stated, "I am really excited to have this opportunity to serve the parents, students and staff at VHCA. I trust the Lord has prepared me with the knowledge and experience I have to meet the current needs of this position, as well as provided me with additional skills that might be of use in the future as the school continues to grow."
